Our Commitment

Iliff School of Theology is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.

Conformance Status

The Flourish at Iliff web platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are actively working toward full conformance. Key measures we have taken include:

• Semantic HTML elements used throughout the application
• All interactive elements are keyboard accessible (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Space, Escape)
• Skip to main content link available on all pages
• Color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA minimum ratios (4.5:1 for text)
• All images include meaningful alternative text
• Forms include explicit labels linked to their inputs
• ARIA landmarks used for navigation, main, and complementary sections
• Mobile navigation announces state changes to screen readers
• Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion user preference
• Site is fully usable at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. The following known limitations exist and are being addressed:

• Third-party embedded video content may not have full captioning support — we are working with vendors to resolve this
• Some legacy course materials may not fully meet accessibility guidelines — these are being reviewed and updated

• HTML5
• WAI-ARIA 1.2
• CSS (including prefers-reduced-motion support)
• JavaScript (React / Next.js — server-side rendering for faster screen reader access)
